John Greening

John Greening’s most recent full collection is The Silence (Carcanet, 2019) and there have been several pamphlets since, notably The Giddings and Omniscience. Other recent books include editions of Edmund Blunden, Geoffrey Grigson, and Iain Crichton Smith, anthologies of poems about music, sheds, and country houses, a memoir of two years in Egypt, and a 2022 edition of Goethe from Arc: Nightwalker’s Song. Following his book of essays on poetry, Vapour Trails (2020) another will appear in January 2023 from Broken Sleep: A High Calling or Where Do You Get Your Ideas From? In March 2023, Baylor UP in Texas are publishing The Interpretation of Owls: Poems 1977-2022 ed. Kevin Gardner. He is a Cholmondeley, Arvon, and TLS prize-winner.  www.johngreening.co.uk
