Ken Smith

Ken Smith was born on December 4, 1938 in Rudston, Yorkshire. After studying at the University of Leeds he joined Stand as co-editor with Jon Silkin from 1965-72. His first book, The Pity, appeared in 1966 and the most recent is his Collected Poems (Bloodaxe, 2018). He died in London on 27 June 2003.
