Cal Freeman is the author of the books Fight Songs and Poolside at the Dearborn Inn, The Weather of Our Names (forthcoming from Cornerstone Press). His writing has appeared in many journals including Oxford American, Image, The Poetry Review, Ambit, Southword, The Moth, and North American Review. His chapbook, Yelping the Tegmine, has just been released. Born and raised in Detroit, he teaches at Oakland University and serves as Writer-In-Residence with InsideOut Literary Arts Detroit.
