Chezia Thompson Strand

Chezia Thompson Strand grew up in St Louis, the daughter of Arkansas-Mississippian parents.  Living in slave ports Baltimore and St Louis, and her studies in West Africa and the West Indies, rendered her a 'Diaspora Child'.  Her recent book, When Divas Speak in Tongues, with two other indigenous poets, is in English, Anishanaabebe, Tagalog-Filipino and fulani-Fulfulde-Pular.



Chezia Thompson Strand's work featured in Stand Magazine comprises one leading article and one contribution of poetry, over a period of two years.
