Krisztina Tóth

Kriszina Tóth, born 1967, is one of the best known and most translated Hungarian writers. Her first book of poetry appeared in 1989 and immediately won the Radnóti Prize. Her eleven books of prose, nine of poetry, and books for children have received all the top literary prizes and have been translated into a wide range of languages. My Secret Life, a volume of selected poems, translated by George Szirtes, was published by Bloodaxe in 2025. Barcode, a book of her short stories, translated by Peter Sherwood, appeared in 2023.
