Li Yuansheng (李元胜) graduated from Chongqing University and was chief editor of the culture section at Chongqing Daily. He began writing poetry in 1981, and he has also published a novel, City Joke, in addition to his award-winning poetry. He received the Lu Xun Literature Prize for his poetry collection Limitless.
