Maia Elsner grew up between Oxford and Mexico City and began writing poetry in Massachusetts, USA. She was shortlisted for the 2019 White Review Poetry Prize and commended for the Geoff Stevens Memorial Prize. Her poems have appeared in Magma, Colorado Review and The Missouri Review, among others, and are anthologised in Un Nuevo Sol: British LatinX Writers (flipped eye, 2019).
