Marty Newman

Marty Newman was born in Czechoslovakia in 1948, raised in Montreal, Canada, and educated at McGill University. He’s lived in Jerusalem since 1985 where he studies archaeology and ancient history. The contemporary poets who influence him most are Richard Wilbur, Zbigniew Herbert and Vasko Popa.



Marty Newman's work featured in Stand Magazine comprises two contributions of poetry, over a period of three years.
