Melanie Challenger’s first collection of poems, Galatea, was recently published by Salt Publishing. Her collaboration with Bosnian war diarist, Zlata Filipovic, includes Stolen Voices, a book on young people in conflict, which has been widely published and translated internationally. She has recently been appointed as director of the Harold Clurman Center for Poetry, Poetic Language, and the Spoken Work in New York. She won an Eric Gregory Award in 2005.
