Nasima Sultana (1957-1997) was born in Bangladesh. She received her MA in English from Rajshahhi University and published poetry and fiction as one of Bangladesh's most promising younger writers until her death in 1997. Her work has appeared in literary journals in translation by Carolyne Wright and Mohammad Nurual Huda and in the anthology Majestic Nights: Love Poems of Bengali Women (White Wine Press, 2008), edited by Carolyne Wright.
