Nuraliah Norasid is an associate at the Centre for Research on Islamic and Malay Affairs in Singapore. She has a PhD in English Literature and Creative Writing from Nanyang Technological University. Her debut novel, The Gatekeeper, won the Epigram Books Fiction Prize in 2016.
