Paul Collis
Paul Collis is a Barkindji person from Bourke, on the Darling River in north-west New South Wales. His novel Dancing Home (2017) won the 2016 David Unaipon Award as an unpublished manuscript, and the 2018 ACT Book of the Year Award. His poetry, fiction and non-fiction have been published widely. Jen Crawford is a Paakehaa/white New Zealander and author of eight poetry books and chapbooks, including Koel (Cordite Books, 2016). She has taught in Australia, Aotearoa/New Zealand and Singapore. Her critical work focuses on the poetics of place and cross-cultural engagements in various literary contexts. Paul and Jen collaborate on Story Ground, a project exploring the intersections of Indigenous Australian story practices and the teaching of creative writing. Both teach at the University of Canberra.
