Paul Mills

Paul Mills has published collections of poems from Carcanet, Smith Doorstop, Smokestack Books, and pamphlets from Smith Doorstop and Wayleave Press. Two of his plays have been performed, at the National Theatre and the West Riding (now Leeds) Playhouse. His two books on creative writing are published by Routledge. He was Gregory Fellow in Poetry at the University of Leeds, and later taught literature and creative writing at York St John University, living for a year in California. He has travelled in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest. For three years he was RLF Fellow at the University of York. He is currently writng a long poem about Shackleton’s voyage to Antactica. He lives in Ripon.
