Roy Fisher’s The Long and the Short of It was published in 2006 and presents a wide range of his poems from 50 years of writing. He was born in Handsworth in 1930, became Senior Lecturer in American Studies at Keele University, played jazz for many years and collaborated with visual artists. He has appeared in Stand many times. He lives in Derbyshire.
