Safiya Kamaria Kinshasa is a British Barbadian interdisciplinary and neurodiverse poet. Safiya chiefly uses movement and dance to compose her poetry and has written for notable organisations including English Heritage, BBC Bitesize and The Wailers. She is an Obsidian Foundation fellow and Apples & Snakes l Jerwood Arts Poetry in Performance recipient. Her work has appeared in a variety of journals including The Caribbean Writer, Poetry London and Magma. Safiya’s first collection is forthcoming with Out-Spoken Press.
