Tatiana Shcherbina was born in 1954 in Moscow. Her poems have been translated into fifteen languages. In 2012 three of her original samizdat books of the 1980s were reissued. Having worked in Germany and France, Shcherbina returned to Moscow. Three books have appeared in English translation; the most recent is Crossing Centuries (Talisman, 2000).
