Yan Ge (颜歌) was born in Sichuan, China, and currently lives in Dublin. She has published 11 books, including the novels May Queen and The Chilli Bean Paste Clan. People’s Literature magazine recently chose her as one of China’s 20 future literary masters, and in 2012 was chosen as Best New Writer by the Chinese Literature Media Prize.
