Péter Kántor, born in 1949, is one of Hungary’s best known poets. Megtanulni élni [Learn to live] gathers his poetry from 1976-2009; Unknown Places (2010) offers a selection of this work in translations by Michael Blumenthal. His most recent collection, Köztünk maradjon [Stay among us], was published in 2012; a new book will be published in 2016. His poetry appeared in Stand’s Translation Special Issue, 5(3).
